Pin Days 2022

Come One, Come All!

In 2022, we are introducing the opportunity for all members of the Sunset Ranch Ladies Club to participate in the Golf Canada and BC Golf Pin Days as well as the Dorothy Olive Franklin memorial Tournament.

All of these programs are organized and run by BC Golf. Unfortunately it is our understanding this is the last year for the Golf Canada pin days. There is no cost for Golf Canada Pin Days. There is a $2 cost for both the BC Golf pin days and the Dorothy Olive Franklin Memorial Tournament. All of the money raised goes towards Junior golf.

A club winner will be declared and submitted to our Zone 2 coordinator. A zone winner and runner-up is then decided. The zone winner is then submitted to BC Golf who determines the provincial winner and runner-up.

Pin Days is a stroke play, NET score competition using your full handicap. Because it is a NET score, you can play any tee. Pin Days must be on the same day and same time for all participating players. This is because playing conditions can be different from day to day and even morning to evening.

We have designated Tuesday morning for pin days. We will also run a separate pin day competition for Tuesday Business Ladies. All participants must golf 18 holes and be a Golf Canada member.

Eight days have been selected for the PIN days. You will need to golf a minimum of four of the eight days as your best FOUR net scores will be used to calculate your Pin days score. By selecting 8 days, it allows for rainouts, holidays and a bad game of golf now and again. So the minimum number of days you will have to register a score is four. The eight days are May 17, May 31, June 14, June 28, July 12, August 9, August 23, and Sept 6. Remember you can participate in all eight times or a minimum of four.

You must submit your score on a separate scorecard on pin days and it must be attested with a signature of another player in your group. Please indicate the TEE from which you played and your handicap on that day. We will have a box on the shelf under the notice board in the ladies washroom for you to leave your score card.

The Dorothy Olive Franklin Memorial Tournament will take place on the June 28 Pin Day. Again, this is a scorecard competition. It also is a low NET score competition so any tee can be used.

SIGN-UP SHEETS are the bright orange sheets on the notice board in the ladies washroom. Please pay your $2 or $4 to Liz Whitehouse. Final day for sign-up for all of the three competitions will be JUNE 27.
